walking in Waikiki 8/3/07

I am at CASTEL/J conference trying to get exercise as much as I can. I have been trying to walk as much as I can. The weather is gorgeous and it is very comfortable to be outside. Of course, the time different is 5 hours and it is off, but I am keeping it up. Noon hour Hawaii time, my pedometer count is over 11,000!

rest week, rest day 7/30/07

Well, after all that juggling, I finally entered the rest week. I was going to go to the gym to do something, but realized that my right hip joint decided to bother me again. Yesterday I did cardio 7 stair and incline 12 3.5 walk treadmil. Besides I have too much preparation to do for the conference. I may have to just be content if I can walk the dog in the evening. My goals for this week is to hover around 158 and do some yoga or stretching everyday. I was going to walk between the hotel in Hawaii and the conference venue, but it is 1.6 miles all uphill. Let's see if I should try to make it.

passport has an expiration 7/29/07

It is very embarrasing. I was supposed to be in Japan by now, jogging by the Yasu river. However when I was ready to check in online for my flight to San Francisco, the web site asked for the expiration date of my passport. It is only when that I noticed that my passport was expired in May! Wihout a valid passport, I can't travel internationally. So I am here in Texas. Luckily, because I cancelled the trip before the first flight, the ticket is reusable until next May. So I just have to do a retake. I will still make it to Hawaii. I am following transition phase of Aerobic week until today and officially make it rest week from tomorrow. That is a shame because I have still time. My right hip joint started to bother me, so I haven't run for a couple of days. I learned that cardio on stair machine is just as good. I guess I can do long walk with the dog? I think Anthony said that I just can't make the heart rate up too much or anything.
