15 days 6/11/05

Ahh. I finally made it to the gym today. It told me that I have been there 15 days in the last 30 days. That is unbelievable! I really needed good stretch. Today ended up being a leg and ab day. My legs feel strong and walking fast feels actually good. I'd better not skip any more days at the gym. After next week, I should make a point of going to Will's yoga class, too. So much to do, so little time!

skipping another day 6/10/05

I am behind in everything. Although I heard about the new job on Tuesday, I haven't contacted a lot of people yet. So I woke up at 3am and took about one and half hours to write e-mail messages (most are really overdue). So I decided to skip the workout. I have to take care of the bills, too. Tomorrow, tomorrow!

missing workout, again! 6/9/05

The big news came Tuesday. I will be moving to Dallas in August. I needed to make sure I will get my consulting hours on Wednesday, I felt a pressure not to spend time in the gym. So I ended up missing Tuesday through Thursday this week because Sears asked me to come in at 8. Tomorrow I am going in at 9, so I have to get up quite early to get the workout. Now that I don't have to be in 28-hour probation anymore, they are going to pack me with hours for the next two weeks. Things are going to change a little, so I have to make sure I fill my workout in the morning. Otherwise I know I don't do it. Grrr.

working out in the afternoon 6/8/05

I should have written this Monday or yesterday! On Monday, I was still not too sure if I adjusted the time here, I was thinking, oh, just lounge through the afternoon. Then Sears called me to come early Tuesday and Thursday. It is early enough I could not go to the gym in the morning, so I made it shortly before 5pm. URGH. That was the busiest I have ever been! I couldn't find let alone ArcTrainer, but all the Ellipticals are taken too! I ended up doing 15-minute run for cardio. I really prefer working out in the morning.

staying healthy in Japan 6/5/05 (morning in San Francisco)

June 5th goes on! I tried to stay healthy in Japan although it was an amazingly rush trip. I left New Mexico Wednesday morning and arrived Mom's Thursday night. Although I could be eating everything in sight in Japan, I contained myself and tried to eat healthy and stay active as much as I can. My mother prepared me grilled fish and plenty of vegetable dishes for me that night. On Friday, we walked to the nearby department store (well, technically) and went to a community swimming pool. I was there last August as well. It is just about the best place to swim because the water is so clean. This time there were classes for children going on, so it was a little loud, but it was still a very pleasant experience. I went a little overboard Saturday eating three packaged onigiri and egg sandwitches (couldn't help!) and also banquet, I had spaghetti and other food that I wouldn't normally touch. For dinner Sunday (I guess part I in Japan), I had an airport chicken curry. That is it for treat! United is getting stinger and stinger, so I didn't feel overeating in the plane. If I get food shopping done today and don't eat out for dinner, then I think I will be in quite a good shape. The new week starts tomorrow. Grrr.

big oops! 6/4/05 NM time

I made it look like I got cold and went down in the drain. Actually I made a quick recovery, breezed through the Memorial Day weekend and came to Japan! Ate healthy food, stayed active and now I am writing from Kansai airport. It is still yesterday in the US time, so I will write another entry at a later today.
