new shorts 4/15/06

On Friday morning, I was doing cat stretch when a lady came to me and said, "You can see through your short!". After I did everything I did, I went back to the locker room and sure you could see the underwear clearly. How embarrassing! If my memory serves me right, those were bought around Christmas of 2003, which makes the shorts almost two and half years old. I came home and took all five pairs from different places (drawer, gym bag, washing machine) and from each one, you can see the daylight out of it! So I have spent majority of the holy weekend shopping (yeah, what an excuse). I didn't know any sporting goods store, so it was a little bit of surfing on the Internet and driving around. Because these workout gears are not exactly cheap and I like to have five sets of bra and shorts, it was a lot of thought into it and took a long time. I ended up investing $150 on Under Armor ULTRA TEAM COMPRESSION SHORT. They claim they are good with sweat control, tight enough so I don't worry, but thick enough so that I don't expose myself for at least a little while. I will try them on for the first time tomorrow. Let's see how this goes...

I was going to... 4/13/06

I have never worked in a private school, so Easter was never a holiday. Good Friday is a university holiday and I acted like it is Friday today. I went to Central Market for the first time. What a place! I guess I was hungry. I got all kinds of things including sushi. After eating at dinner time, I was going to do Sara's Workout yoga, but now I am just not doing it. This is kind of like Thanksgiving in the fall semester. The body is going to make a mistake that the semester is over. I will go to the gym tomorrow!!!

yoga retreat in East Texas 4/12/06

After 4/5 entry, I was fooling around on the Internet the other day and found this Yoga in the Pines. Looks like the instructor lives around here and all city people go to this place, driving for two hours to get away from it all. She returned my e-mail fairly quickly. The weekend contains two candle light yoga and she practices hatha yoga/vinyasa that I like. However she says she has been only practicing for about five years. I have been for three, so I don't know. It is $199 for the weekend. Going into the mountains sounds inviting, but I don't think I can bring the dog. I have plenty of yoga DVD's that I can play now. Maybe I will just stick around here and make the most use of Lifetime instead?

The truth is... 4/11/06

Well, I thought I would have no way making it to the gym today. Maybe Red Bull helps? I managed to get out of the office around 4:15 and made it to the gym. I did leg routine without ab and did good stretch and sat in the steam bath. I noticed that the steam bath is not producing minty mist these days. Just hot steam. I get that here in Dallas for months a year. I may be living in Texas too long. 80 degree weather with clouds and winds started to feel actually "cool". I wouldn't classify as さむい, but I would incline to introduce すずしい with this weather.

What is a chance of ...? 4/10/06

Oh, boy. The weekend trip to San Francisco deviated my attention from the reality and the gorgeous weather on Sunday definitely distracted me. But the reality is I have a lot of work! I have an exam to give on Wednesday and I have to make it. It just doesn't show up! I went to the gym, did cardio, a couple of ab exercises and did a lot of stretch. Being on the plan two days in a row and carried all my luggage most of the time, I must be needing it. I walked the dog this evening, and that is good for both the dog and me. Let's see if I can make it to the gym tomorrow and Wednesday.

the best weather ever in Dallas 4/9/06

It is Sunday. I made it in last night from San Francisco. I was talking to my next door neighbor, Zee, about the best season in Dallas. I think it is just about now, spring, if it is not raining and under storm watch. Today is perfect weather. It is dry, perfectly sunny and I don't need air conditioning nor heater. Reminds me a lot of New Mexico weather. I am sitting in the patio, looking over the pool. I am sorry, but the weather is just way too nice to be working inside at the gym. I went to Target and got bikini swimsuit. Maybe I will jump in the water when girls go away. It is not the kind that I can seriously swim. It is more like getting the sun and expose the skin type.
