My beloved gym bag 6/3/09

I am famous for carrying everything and with train commuting and all, I must stand out in crowds of the loads I carry everyday.  My gym bag only lasted a single semester and started to disintegrate itself.  So I went to Academy, Wal-Mart and everywhere in Allen outlet mall, but didn’t find exactly the replacement. I settled with pink Reebok bag and shifted strategies because the pockets are not the same.  But what I wanted to do today was to list the content.  For those who may be starting to go to the gym, you can consider this as a complete list and laugh how silly I am to be carrying everything else!

Body age 36, getting serious about cycling and running 5/31/09

I met with Chris again and he gave me muscular hypertrophy program and did FitPoint again.  My body age is 36.  My weight dropped 10 pounds since his last FitPoint on 4/19/09.

In mid-June, Tony and I are planning a day sightseeing on bike, so I am making a priority to go to spinning class.  I planned out this week and it doesn’t seem to be possible on Friday, but I plan on going to one everyday other days.  Today was my second time and the class was 90 minute long!  Lots of people ended up leaving probably because they were expecting a 60-minute class.  I made it through although I am not always in the heart rate range that I was supposed to be in.  I mostly stayed in Zone 2, but I am getting used to the idea of spinning/cycling.  I asked Tony to loan me a book.  He is letting me keep “Training for Cycling”.

I am also well aware that running is a strenuous exercise and I could hurt myself.  I am very committed to going to Kim’s Ultimate Cardio and today I ran a trail by the house while Tony takes the dog for a long walk.  It was very nice just before sundown and I would like to improve running.  So I am going to call for “The Nonrunner's Marathon Guide for Women: Get Off Your Butt and On with Your Training” tomorrow to pick up at local Barnes and Noble store soon.

I will get to group fitness entry next time!
