chin-up, 100 9/9/06

Today was back and bicep with no ab. When I got done with cardio, my favorite lat pull down machine was taken, so for some reason, I headed to the assited chin-up machine! I haven't done it for forever, so there was not reason to go back to the old log to see how many pounds I did last time. I was thinking, maybe I used to do 110-ish. I decided to set it at 100 (meaning I am holding 85 pounds of my own weight) and completed 2 sets of 12 reps. This was good, but then everything I did afterwards was harder than usual. Even bicep ended up being 15. Maybe I am not working hard enough usually. Grrr.

busy gym, stretching thing 9/7/06

Yesterday I got out early enough to get to the gym, but I found out I didn't have workout clothes packed! So I came home and hit the gym for the second time. By this time, the gym is busier and I was lucky to have a bench for Chest/Shoulders/Tricep routines, but didn't find any stretch mat and both rooms were taken up for class, so I didn't want to go inside to get a mat that might result in disturbing the class. So I used one of those funky stretching thing. I could do shoulder stretch on it and I thought it was quite effective. There are some lower body stretch that are possible as well. Hummm.

"in love" diet? 9/5/06

Faithful readers may notice that my entries are rather spotty these days for no apparent reasons. You may have caught that I have been busy with match.com. I have been on it for close to a month and I met several guys and boy, it has been a learning experience. (I must say well worth $30 a month.) If I decide to meet somebody in person, that is like, getting ready to fall in love, for me. Therefore you can imagine it has been interesting, exciting, rocky and emotional roller coaster up and down. I do get to the workout, but the food eating department has been rather irregular. A couple of days ago, I got myself on the scale at the gym and for the first time in many weeks, I saw my weight shifting slightly off lower. My subscription ends on the 9th and I have to decide if I want to do this one more month or not. Maybe it is worth it if my scale number goes down.

80's 9/3/06

This temperature change is somewhat freaking me out. Now the highest temperature doesn't hit 90. The long-term weather forecast for high is all in the 80's. This is a good walking weather. In this long weekend, I end up playing with a new Video iPod and gave up on the idea of going to the Japanese Garden in Ft. Worth. Pepper is so used to walking with me twice a day. I am totally enjoying my time at home on this long weekend after a couple of weeks of the semester.
