Albuquerque fitness trip 3/11/06

Oh, my goodness! I missed writing so many days. I am back in Albuquerque and I am in my favorite restaurant, Flying Star on Juan Tabo. The mountain is lovely and it is snowing today! I had to use air-conditioner yesterday to drive and now I am wearing my leather jacket. I am determined to make this a fitness trip to Albuquerque. Tuesday Sandia Mountain hike is set and Defined Fitness schedule is checked for Will's yoga class and Tom's Tai-Chi class. I just can't remember what I did with combination lock for gym locker. I used to use it for Sears locker and I know for some reason, I replaced that with the one with key when I finished working for ISS in January. So that is the only thing I have to get, I guess. I am going to talk to somebody at Juan Tabo gym to see if they have a weekly deal or something. But $7 guest deal is not bad at all. I would LOVE to get back working out in good old Juan Tabo gym.

survived the mid-term 3/7/06

I survived the chapter tests and mid-term exams! Today I gave the mid-term to my first-year, administered all oral exams and punched in all the data into the computer to give mid-term grades to those who want to know. I don't know how many times I made it to the gym in the last couple of weeks. It has been pretty bad. I was telling Taguchi sensei that every time I go, it ends up being the ab day. It was after 5pm when all this today finished today and I needed to talk to my neighbor about my trip, so I came home early, without going to the gym. Tomorrow, I really should go. Thursday will end up being the last prep day for the trip, getting gas and so forth. I am tired today and I don't know how I am going to hold up Friday. I really need to make it to Amarillo that night.

update 3/6/06

After the last entry, I noticed that my legs were hurting. It was bad enough I had to hold on to the railing when I go upstairs. So I decided that I should probably rest a little bit. Then Friday night came the notice that I don't need to be in Dallas for the spring break. Made a quick decision and lot of planning to drive back to the desert for next week! Would I get to Will's yoga class? Tom's Tai-chi class? And would I really get to hike up Sandia Mountain?!? I have one last exam to give for the season and then slowly getting too excited about the road trip with the dog...
