left ankle revisited 8/5/05

Today is a packing day and tomorrow is a driving day. I am supposed to do a lot of physical stuff today, but I am still feeling that left ankle from the last yoga class. I was talking about it to my friend Yabe-sensei from San Antonio, who drives the moving truck for me. Well, gotta get done today, or else...

Dear Defined Fitness 8/4/05

My name is Keiko Schneider and I have been a member of your club since July 2003. I wanted to put a note to thank you as I am moving to Dallas. I have never been athletic and always overweight. I started to swim and take yoga classes first. I really thank Will for his excellent yoga classes. It has helped me spiritually as well as physically. I took advantage of two free training sessions and I learned to do weight training. After two years of working out at your club, I lost 35 pounds, but more importantly, at the age 38, I feel the healthiest, fittest and strongest that I have ever been in my life. I have already decided which health club to join in Dallas and while I was searching for what is best for me, I realized how good your facility and services are.

I have been keeping fitness diary online and if you are curious, please visit.

If you don't recognize me by name, there is photo in 4/14/05 entry.

I thank you again and I will miss visiting your club.

Sincerely yours,
Keiko Schneider

necesito bailar 8/3/05

Ahh, two more days in Albuquerque. Emotions are getting harder and harder to deal with. For this purpose, there is my iPod. Listen to the tune and dance. Burn calories. I saw Enriqueta today and she told me that after the dancing Friday night, she weighed herself and found out that she was 5 pounds lighter. She said she should do it more often. Hey, I have no complaints dancing.

New Mexican all week 8/2/05

Everything is winding down here in Albuquerque and my fridge is getting pretty empty. I do have some food, but I decided the following. I am going to eat as much as (New) Mexican food as I can this week. Yesterday I had Huevos Rancheros at Flying Star and this morning I ate Breakfast Burritos with carne asada. Tonight I have a dinner appointment with a friend and I will do another (New) Mexican. It is not the healthiest way to eat, but hey, I am leaving here. Where else can I get good green chile or sopapilla?

scale 7/31/05

When I moved the queen size bed to sell at the moving sale, I found a digital scale underneath! I totally forgot about it. Even after those parties after parties with unusual eating habits, I seem to be doing OK. I am about 10 pounds away from the smallest number on the scale I can remember. That was around April 1995, so it has been ten years. Once I sign up with Lifetime fitness in Dallas, I am told that the first thing they do is to run some tests. I hope my stretch is at least 90% (I am more flexible than 90% of my age group) and I prove that I am fairly strong from weight training. I don't know about cardio function. I wonder what kind of test they are going to do. I will find out in about a week.
