pile of magazines! 1/14/06

Because I have been listening to iPod and my new favorite cardio machine is not exactly easy to read on, I have been putting reading while exercising. Before I know it, I have 4 Shape en espaƱol, 3 Experience magazines, and 5 Time magazines! What would I do with all that reading?!?

back into the swing of things 1/13/06

This was my second trip to Albuquerque and it always takes a little time to "recover". It is such a lovely place and I have good friends. After working for Sears for the season, entertaining Mom and visiting Albuquerque, I guess I was tired and I missed doing everything yesterday, including going to the gym. I feel fair amount of energy and plenty of things to do. I feel I am ready to go through another semester!

next time will be ... 1/12/06

URGH. I was in Albuquerque Monday night and Wednesday morning and I have managed to miss both Will's yoga class and Tom's Tai-chi class. All the workout clothes I brought turned out to be just luggage. Albuquerque was the 10th fittest city and the big reason for that is that residents' participation to sports activities is always great. Next time, if the weather is OK, I would like to go up to La Luz trail that goes up to Sandia Mountain. And make the trip, fitness in Albuquerque trip.

mind-cleansing day 1/10/06

I forgot how beautiful Albuquerque was. Everything is in a little smaller scale (except the big breakfast burrito that just showed up at my table in Flying Star, I guess) and more kicked back, definitely less traffic. Dollar rental gave me a PT Cruiser and I didn't quite picture what was like when I heard it, but it is something I would drive. Maybe it is a cheaper alternative to Subaru Outback. I wanted to go to Juan Tabo gym to work out, but instead I am sitting in Flying Star looking over Sandia mountains. It still reflects morning sun and it is just gorgeous. If I don't get to the gym, I am trying to call today a mind-cleansing day. How's that?

Visiting the desert part II 1/9/06

I guess one word to describe me is "determined" and I made it to Albuquerque for the second time during this break. The weather is perfect and the sunset is gorgeous as usual. I made a movie appointment (Memoirs of a Geisha that I read on audiobook) tonight, so I have to miss Will's yoga class in Juan Tabl! URGH. However I plan to go to Tom's Tai-chi class on Wednesday and visit Juan Tabo gym tomorrow. I can't get over how beautiful Albuquerque is.
