Another three miles! 11/17/04

The big conference is from tomorrow and my schedule is packed. I have still so much to do and I didn't feel like I can spend whole lot of time exercising this morning. So I just went for cardio. I forgot to bring a magazine, so I thought, huh, maybe I should try 3 miles again. The same thing from last time, I walked at the beginning, in the middle and at the end, but I made it. This means it wasn't just a miracle. I can do this when I feel like it. YEY.

Diet sprite 11/16/04

I continue to enjoy Sparkling water in different flavors (see 10/25 entry), but they are not necessarily available on airplanes. I started to drink Diet Sprite and I am quite happy. It claims it contains no sugar, no carbs and no caffeine. Of course, I can ask for water and I do drink lot of water. However sometimes I like that sweetness and bubbly effect of carbonated drinks. I can gulp a lot of water, but carbonated drinks make me sip. If only they serve dried fruits on flights...

blank logs! 11/15/04

I looked at my logs today and pages and pages of it are almost blank! I haven't done any weight training for, must be, about a month. Eric's yoga class is too rigorous and I hurt my legs late September and arms since late October. I actually had Salonpas for the weekend. So I have been only doing abs and cardio and maybe legs once or twice for the last three weeks. This only takes up last eight lines or so of my log and the majority of the log is all blank. Days after days. Pages after pages. Weeks after weeks. URGH.

dried fruits 11/14/04

I am back from Berkeley, but on the way, I had to stop at Las Vegas airport. I was looking for something to eat and first my eyes caught nuts because I always like them with my yogurt. Then I found an array of dried fruits. Except dried bananas, I really never had them before so I tried apples, mangos, papayas, apricots, pineapples mixed to make a half pound bag. I was quite surprised a lot of them are VERY sweet by themselves. I decided I liked apples and apricots best and mangos are quite OK. Papayas and pineapples are desert, sweet level. I was happy to spend five dollars on this healthy snack in stead of something else at the airport. Today I found some packaged, store-brand ones while grocery shopping. Let's try if they are good. If they are, I will bring them to Chicago this weekend to share with my roommates.
